Debbie Stanitski is the current EMSA President. A former pediatric orthopedic surgeon she sustained an equestrian-related closed head injury in 1999. Previously an event rider she now competes in regular and paraequestrian dressage with her fourteen year old Holsteiner x QH mare. She is passionate about proper helmet wear and is concerned with all preventable equestrian injuries.
She competes in both able-bodied and para dressage. She has qualified for the 2014 USEF Para-Equestrian National Championship/WEG Selection Trials in Gladstone, New Jersey June 2-5.
